Cockroach Janta Party Fires Spokesperson Vijeta Dahiya Over Burger Video
The Cockroach Janta Party removed spokesperson Vijeta Dahiya after videos showed him eating at a mall while party supporters faced police violence in Delhi.
The Cockroach Janta Party removed spokesperson Vijeta Dahiya from his position and stripped him of all official responsibilities on July 21, 2026. The party acted after social media videos circulated showing Dahiya at a burger outlet in a Delhi mall while party supporters were facing police violence and lathicharges during the 'Chalo Sansad' protest march.
Party leadership condemned the conduct as deeply insensitive and inconsistent with the movement's values. Following the incident, party founder Abhijeet Dipke requested that Dahiya resign for the best interests of the movement. Dahiya refused to resign, instead telling Dipke to fire him.
In his defense, Dahiya claimed he sought food after the march concluded and after working without sleep for two nights. He characterized the resulting controversy as pro-government propaganda. The party's broader agitation continues at Jantar Mantar, where demonstrators are demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over examination irregularities and paper leaks.
