Cambridge Aerospace Raises $300 Million in Series C Round

Cambridge Aerospace raised $300 million in Series C funding, valuing the British defense startup at $3.4 billion to develop low-cost drone interceptors.

Cambridge Aerospace raised $300 million in a Series C financing round led by DFJ Growth, bringing the British defense startup's valuation to $3.4 billion. The round included participation from Lux Capital, Elad Gil & Co., Accel, Lakestar, and Never Lift, contributing to a total of $500 million raised by the company this year.

Founded in 2024 by Steven Barrett, Chris Sylvan, and Junaid Hussain, the company specializes in low-cost drone and missile interceptors, specifically developing radar systems and solid rocket motors. In April, the company secured a multimillion-pound contract from the Ministry of Defence of the United Kingdom for hundreds of Skyhammer interceptors, which are designed to counter Shahed-style drones.

UK Defense Secretary Wes Streeting described the company's multi-billion dollar valuation as a "great vote of confidence in Britain."
