Air India Launches Non-Stop Delhi to Toronto Daily Flights

Air India will launch non-stop flights between Delhi and Toronto starting August 1, 2026, deploying new Boeing 787-9 aircraft to eliminate a previous fuel stop in Vienna. The upgrade reduces the total flight time from Delhi to Toronto from approximately 20 hours to 17 hours, while the return service from Toronto to Delhi will remain non-stop with a flight time of up to 16 hours.

The airline is restoring daily service on the route, increasing frequency from five to seven flights per week. This reverses a temporary reduction implemented in June and July 2026 due to geopolitical developments and high fuel prices.

The new Boeing 787-9 aircraft introduces a three-class configuration to the route, featuring 30 Business Class suites and 238 Economy Class seats. Notably, the upgrade brings Premium Economy to the Delhi-Toronto route for the first time, offering 28 dedicated seats in that cabin. CEO Campbell Wilson stated that the move is part of a broader effort to transform the carrier into a world-class global airline and strengthen connectivity between India and Canada.
