Nutanix Launches Enterprise AI 2.8 for Agentic Applications
Nutanix released Enterprise AI 2.8 and announced Kubernetes Platform 2.19 to integrate agentic AI with existing virtual machines and containerized workloads.
Nutanix Inc. released Nutanix Enterprise AI (NAI) 2.8 and announced the upcoming Nutanix Kubernetes Platform (NKP) 2.19, introducing a dual-native architecture. This system allows agentic AI applications to run alongside existing virtual machines and containerized workloads to prevent the creation of infrastructure silos.
NAI 2.8 includes a Model Context Protocol gateway to govern how agents access data and applications, alongside token consumption tracking to manage costs. The update also introduces speculative decoding to increase token generation speeds by up to 2.5 times and Low-Rank Adaptation fine-tuning for models with fewer than 8 billion parameters.
The forthcoming NKP 2.19 will feature an AI applications catalog and NKP Metal to simplify container management across virtualized and bare-metal environments. To support these deployments, Nutanix launched a Verified Services program and Service Provider Central for partners building cloud-native and AI practices. The offerings integrate with Nvidia AI Enterprise and NIM microservices.
