Swati Maliwal Accuses Punjab Government of Six Major Paper Leaks

Rajya Sabha member Swati Maliwal accused the Aam Aadmi Party government of failing to address systemic examination irregularities in Punjab, alleging that six major paper leaks occurred over the past five years. Maliwal specifically highlighted "massive cheating" during a pharmacy examination on July 19 and criticized Arvind Kejriwal for remaining silent on the issue while allegedly funding a proxy party to demand education accountability.

In response to the July 19 pharmacy officer recruitment exam, the Punjab Police arrested seven masterminds and detained 28 candidates. However, law enforcement stated they found no evidence of a paper leak or involvement by government officials.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann denied the allegations, asserting that no competitive examination paper leaks happened during his four-and-a-half-year administration. Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring contested these claims, accusing the Chief Minister of making false statements during a protest in Delhi.
