Exxon Mobil Shares Stabilize as Iranian Oil Exports Collapse

Exxon Mobil shares stabilized as a sharp decline in Iranian oil exports pushed Brent crude prices toward 94 dollars per barrel.

Shares of Exxon Mobil stabilized around 166.07 dollars on Friday following a significant collapse in Iranian oil exports that drove Brent crude prices toward 94 dollars per barrel. Iranian shipments fell to approximately 534,000 barrels per day in August, a steep drop from the 2025 average of 1.4 million barrels per day. Floating storage outside the blockade zone also decreased from 105 million to 80 million barrels.

The resulting supply shock strengthens upstream pricing for Exxon Mobil, which recently reported second-quarter operating cash flow of 23.6 billion dollars. The company maintains a strong market position through integrated refining capabilities and record production in the Permian Basin.

Despite the benefit to oil producers, the rise in energy costs creates a risk of reviving inflation and weakening global demand.
