Motorola Mobility Rolls Out Android 17 to Over 50 Devices

Motorola Mobility began deploying the stable Android 17 update to over 50 smartphones, starting with the Edge 2025 and introducing the updated HelloUI skin.

Motorola Mobility began rolling out the stable Android 17 update to more than 50 smartphones across its Razr, Edge, and Moto G families. The deployment started with the Motorola Edge 2025, with priority given to flagship foldables and high-end models such as the Razr 70, Razr 60, and Edge 70 lineups before reaching the Moto G range.

The update introduces enhancements to the HelloUI skin, including a dynamic island-style interface for live updates around the front camera and an upgraded Moto AI assistant named Qira. Other features include revamped system haptics, resizable quick settings tiles, and expanded customizations for the lock screen and app drawer.

While the compatibility list is extensive, several devices are notably absent, including the Edge 50 Pro, Edge 60 Neo, and Moto G56. The omission of the Edge 50 Neo is particularly significant because the manufacturer previously promised that device five major Android OS upgrades. Motorola Mobility is deploying the stable builds in batches by region and carrier, though users can apply for beta slots through community forums.
