Gujarat Launches Vibrant Gujarat 2027 Global Summit Campaign

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and state officials invited global investors to the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2027, highlighting semiconductor leadership and accelerated incentive processing.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel announced the 11th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, scheduled for January 10-12, 2027. Under the theme 'Viksit Gujarat: Shaping Global Future,' the summit aims to position the state as a global gateway for industry and a leader in soft power and green growth.

Patel highlighted Gujarat's dominance in high-technology manufacturing, noting that the state hosts half of India's 12 approved semiconductor plants. He identified Dholera as India's first smart industrial city and GIFT City as a primary hub for global finance and fintech. To support these sectors, the state has implemented specific policies for IT/ITeS, green hydrogen, and hyperscale data centres.

To improve the ease of doing business, Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi announced that the Industries Department increased its processing speed for incentive files from 160 to 395 per day this year. Sanghavi set a new target to process 500 applications daily in the coming year, guaranteeing that all promised incentives have been honored over the last 25 years. Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya attributed the state's robust investment ecosystem to its history of trade and noted that India's economic growth remained strong at 7.5% to 8% while other major global economies hovered between 2% and 4.5%.
