Anthropic Files for IPO After Revenue Surges 14-Fold
Anthropic PBC has filed confidentially for an IPO following a revenue surge to $11.5 billion in the second quarter.
Anthropic PBC has filed confidentially for an initial public offering to fund the development of advanced models and maintain its competitive position in the artificial intelligence market. The company is working with Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs Group Inc., and JPMorgan Chase & Co. to manage the listing, which could occur as early as this fall.
The filing follows a period of explosive growth. Anthropic reported preliminary second-quarter revenue exceeding $11.5 billion, a 14-fold increase over the $787 million earned during the same period in 2025. The company also achieved positive adjusted operating income for the quarter.
This financial trajectory has placed Anthropic ahead of its primary rivals. In May, the company's annualized revenue run rate crossed $47 billion, surpassing the $40 billion run rate reported by OpenAI. A successful autumn listing would see Anthropic debut on the public market before both OpenAI and the Chinese AI firm DeepSeek, which is also preparing for an IPO.
