Ollie's Bargain Outlet Approves $500 Million Stock Buyback

Ollie's Bargain Outlet Holdings authorized $500 million in share repurchases to signal confidence in its business model despite lowering full-year sales guidance.

The board of Ollie's Bargain Outlet Holdings unanimously approved a $500 million authorization to repurchase common stock on October 13, 2026. This action increases the company's total available repurchase capacity to approximately $561 million. The announcement triggered a 5.5 percent rise in share price to roughly $91.20, providing a boost after the stock had declined about 30 percent over the previous 12 months.

The buyback occurs as the company reduces its financial outlook. Ollie's lowered its full-year net sales guidance to a range between $2.928 billion and $2.941 billion and adjusted its comparable-store sales outlook to flat or up 0.5 percent. Since 2019, the company has returned approximately $679 million to shareholders through similar repurchases.

CEO Eric van der Valk stated that the authorization reflects the company's confidence in its financial position and the durability of its business model. He noted that the move underscores a conviction in substantial long-term growth opportunities and the ability to generate cash flow over time.
