Boeing Names Ryan Weir to Succeed Retiring Sales Chief
Boeing will replace retiring senior vice president of global sales and marketing Brad McMullen with Ryan Weir in December.
Boeing announced that Brad McMullen, senior vice president of global sales and marketing, will retire in December. He will be succeeded by Ryan Weir, the current manager of the North American market.
McMullen led the company's commercial recovery following a 2024 mid-air door plug blowout, focusing on restoring confidence among airline customers. Under his leadership, and supported by deals coinciding with foreign visits by President Donald Trump, Boeing won its order race against Airbus in 2025 for the first time in seven years.
While Boeing has seen a surge in orders for its 787 wide-body jet, it continues to trail Airbus in the long-range narrowbody market. The company intends to close this gap through the pending approval of the 737 MAX 10. Ryan Weir brings experience as Boeing's former sales chief for India and South Asia and as a manager of sales to global leasing companies.
