Mirendil Signs $100 Million Compute Deal With Google Cloud

AI lab Mirendil entered a multiyear partnership with Google Cloud valued at over $100 million to acquire the compute capacity necessary for developing self-improving AI. The agreement grants Mirendil access to Google's Tensor Processing Units (TPUs), Nvidia GPUs, and managed training clusters.

Mirendil intends to create recursive self-improving AI systems designed to automate research in biology, medicine, and materials science. This strategic move follows a late June seed funding round that gave the company a $1 billion valuation.

Company leadership stated that the partnership enables them to optimize workloads across different chip types to reduce costs and scale performance. Google gains a strategic partner focused on frontier technology that may yield future enterprise applications.
