Chhattisgarh Secures 43,600 Crore Investment from Singapore

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai secured 43,600 crore in investment commitments from Singaporean firms for data centers, solar energy, and agro-processing projects.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai secured 43,600 crore in foreign direct investment commitments during a three-day visit to the inaugural Singapore-India Network for Growth (SING) Forum 2026. The commitments mark a strategic effort by the state to diversify its economy beyond traditional mineral-based industries into digital infrastructure and green energy.

The largest portion of the funding comes from Energy Capital Global, which committed 41,750 crore to develop a 100 MW AI-ready hyperscale data center campus. Other significant commitments include 1,500 crore from Sunstream Green Energy for a 300 MW solar project and 350 crore from Valency International for an integrated agro and food processing hub.

Beyond industrial investment, the state signed a memorandum of understanding with ITE Education Services for vocational training. The delegation also explored partnerships with Mandai Wildlife Group and Gardens by the Bay to implement green development and botanical gardens in Nava Raipur. Sai stated that the visit demonstrates Chhattisgarh is ready for global investment and is pursuing industry-driven reforms to generate employment.
