Abbott and Hinojosa Report Record Final Fundraising Totals
Texas Governor Greg Abbott and challenger Gina Hinojosa recorded their largest fundraising totals of the election cycle in the final reporting period before Election Day.
Greg Abbott and Democratic challenger Gina Hinojosa both achieved their highest fundraising totals of the current election cycle during the final reporting window from September 25 through October 24. Abbott raised $26 million and spent $35.8 million, focusing heavily on television advertising. His latest haul included significant contributions from Elon Musk, Phil Knight, Kenneth Fisher, and the Republican Governors Association.
Hinojosa raised $17.5 million and spent $19.1 million in the same period. Her fundraising was bolstered by $1 million donations each from Illinois Governor JB Pritzker and Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear.
While recent polling has placed Abbott behind for the first time in his gubernatorial history, he retains a substantial financial lead. Since Hinojosa launched her campaign on October 15, 2025, Abbott has spent $281 million compared to Hinojosa's $36.8 million.
