Cross-Party Leaders Endorse Tinubu and Akpabio for 2027

Political stakeholders from the Peoples Democratic Party, Nigeria Democratic Congress, and All Progressives Congress in the Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District of Akwa Ibom State have issued a joint endorsement for three key leaders ahead of the 2027 elections. The cross-party group resolved to back President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second presidential term, Governor Umo Eno for a second term as governor, and Senate President Godswill Akpabio for another term as Senator for Akwa Ibom North-West.

Akpabio attributed the rare cross-party consensus to a peaceful political atmosphere within the state. He pledged that the district would deliver 100 per cent of the votes for the endorsed candidates on election day. To maintain this momentum, Akpabio called for continued reconciliation and peaceful co-existence among political actors, urging them to forgive past wrongs to ensure a unified voice during the upcoming electioneering and voting processes.
