Nara Lokesh Says India Can Become Developed Nation Within Decade
Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh stated that India is positioned to achieve developed-nation status within ten years during a summit in Vijayawada.
Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh asserted that India can achieve developed-nation status within a decade, describing the next ten years as a "golden decade" for the country. Speaking at the Pan-IIT Andhra Pradesh Summit 2026 in Vijayawada, Lokesh noted that India is positioned to reach this status much faster than Western nations, which took nearly a century to develop.
Lokesh aligned the development goals of Andhra Pradesh with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "Viksit Bharat" vision. He outlined a state strategy centered on a "3S mantra" of Speed, Service, and Stability.
To support these goals, Lokesh stated the state government is acting as "a team in a hurry." He emphasized a focus on grounding projects to generate tangible employment opportunities rather than merely signing agreements.
