APC Supporters Hold Solidarity Rally for President Tinubu in Yobe
Thousands of All Progressives Congress supporters marched in Damaturu to endorse President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's 2027 re-election bid and counter opposition protests.
Thousands of All Progressives Congress (APC) supporters held a peaceful solidarity rally in Damaturu, Yobe State, on November 7, 2026. The event, organized by the 'Tinubu Must Go Again' movement and state APC leadership, endorsed Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the 2027 general elections. The four-hour march from the Damaturu flyover to the Pilgrim Commission Office Complex used the themes 'Tinubu Must Go Again' and 'Cika Alkawari' to directly counter opposition-led 'Tinubu Must Go' protests.
This mobilization follows an October 1 protest in Potiskum where youths demanded the president's removal, citing insecurity and economic hardship. During the rally, party officials argued that Yobe State has benefited from the cooperation between the federal government and Governor Mai Mala Buni's administration. The event also served to reaffirm support for APC governorship candidate Baba Mallam Wali.
Organizers and state officials emphasized their commitment to mobilizing grassroots support for the president. The rally concluded without reported violence or security incidents.
