Senator Tambuwal Donates 20 Million Naira to Bandit Attack Victims
Senator Aminu Tambuwal donated 20 million naira to attack victims in Sokoto State while urging President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to prioritize security over political activities.
Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal visited victims of recent bandit attacks in the Bodinga Local Government Area on Thursday to deliver humanitarian aid and demand government action. During the visit, Tambuwal donated a total of 20 million naira, splitting the funds equally between displaced families in Bodinga and victims of a previous attack in Tureta Local Government Area.
The former governor of Sokoto State criticized the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, arguing that the president and his team should prioritize the constitutional responsibility of protecting lives and property over electioneering and political activities. Tambuwal stated that citizens can only benefit from infrastructure and development if they are first safe and secure.
To address the ongoing insecurity across Sokoto State and Nigeria, Tambuwal advocated for the creation of state police. He argued that establishing local police forces would strengthen grassroots security and improve intelligence gathering to better combat banditry.
