Turkic states observed Turkic States Cooperation Day on October 3, marking the 17th anniversary of the 2009 Nakhchivan Agreement. The agreement established the institutional foundation for the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), which now comprises Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued statements emphasizing the goal of building a Turkic Century by transforming the region's human, economic, and strategic potential into shared prosperity. Simultaneously, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the strategic partnership and solidarity of the Turkic world.

Secretary General Kubanychbek Omuraliev reported that the OTS has evolved into an action-oriented organization, establishing 32 new cooperation mechanisms since 2023. These mechanisms bring the total to 64 across sectors including defense, energy, and artificial intelligence.
