APC Chieftain Urges Support for Tinubu's Economic Reforms
Olatunbosun Oyintiloye called on opposition figures to stop criticizing President Bola Tinubu over Nigeria's economic hardships and avoid weaponizing the crisis for the 2027 election.
Former Osun State House of Assembly member Olatunbosun Oyintiloye urged opposition figures to cease their criticism of President Bola Tinubu regarding Nigeria's current economic hardships. In a statement issued from Osogbo, the All Progressives Congress chieftain argued that the president inherited a battered economy and is implementing necessary reforms, including the floating of the naira and the removal of fuel subsidies, to stabilize the nation.
Oyintiloye acknowledged that these policies have caused difficulty for citizens but maintained that they are beginning to yield results. He warned opposition candidates against using these economic challenges as political weapons for the 2027 general election, asserting that such candidates lack the capacity to outperform the current administration.
While defending the president, Oyintiloye also urged President Tinubu to review existing social intervention programs to better alleviate the suffering of vulnerable Nigerians.
