Journalist Files Criminal Complaint Against Rahul Gandhi

Journalist Richa Parasar filed a criminal complaint against Lok Sabha leader of opposition Rahul Gandhi and others following an incident on October 12, 2026. Parasar alleges that while she was reporting on an INDIA bloc protest against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar near the Supreme Court, Gandhi grabbed her hand and pulled her forward.

Parasar claims that Gandhi's security personnel pushed her, causing her to fall down the stairs and land on her stomach. She reported injuries to her hand and knees and a broken phone, noting that she is three months pregnant. Parasar further alleged that Gandhi pushed her cameraperson, contributing to a commotion that led to her fall.
