Zelenskyy Reshuffles Cabinet to Prioritize Military Technology and Energy

Denys Shmyhal transitions to the energy ministry following five months as defense chief. He enters the role during a period of severe instability, with some regions facing blackouts exceeding 20 hours a day. The energy ministry had been vacant for two months following the dismissal of Svitlana Hrynchuk over a corruption scandal.

As part of the broader overhaul, parliament promoted intelligence chief Kyrylo Budanov to head the presidential administration and relieved Vasyl Maliuk of his duties at the SBU. Additionally, the legislature voted to extend martial law and troop mobilization until May.
