Max Miller Defies Pressure to Drop Ohio House Race

Republican Representative Max Miller is facing intense pressure to withdraw from his reelection campaign for Ohio's 7th Congressional District following allegations of physical abuse against his ex-wife and their young daughter. The accusations include claims that Miller held a gun to his ex-wife's head and caused a collarbone fracture in their daughter.

Despite these allegations, Miller has denied the claims and plans to spend $1 million of his own funds to maintain his candidacy. Former President Donald Trump and other prominent Republicans have urged him to reconsider his position in the race.

The turmoil has increased the viability of Democratic challenger Brian Poindexter. A union ironworker and former Brook Park City Council member, Poindexter is targeting working-class voters in the Republican stronghold by focusing on labor and economic policies rather than relying solely on Miller's personal scandals.
