Springfield Mayor Urges Congress to Protect Haitian Immigrants

This judicial action was based on a June 25 Supreme Court ruling stating that the Secretary of Homeland Security's decision to terminate TPS is not subject to judicial review.

Reports from CBS and Fox News indicate that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement may increase operations to detain and deport Haitian immigrants. However, Mayor Rue and the governor's office reported that they have not received notification from the Department of Homeland Security regarding a planned surge in Springfield.
