Trump Financial Disclosures Show Stock Trades in Criticized Companies

President Donald Trump acquired shares in Disney, JPMorgan Chase, and Netflix despite publicly criticizing the companies and engaging in legal disputes with them.

Financial disclosures from the first quarter of 2026 reveal that Donald Trump acquired stock in several companies he has publicly criticized, including Netflix, JPMorgan Chase, and The Walt Disney Company. The president's account traded up to $6 million in Disney shares during an active feud with the entertainment giant and a Federal Communications Commission review of Disney-owned television licenses.

Additionally, the disclosures show the president maintained significant exposure to JPMorgan Chase. This holding coincides with a $5 billion lawsuit filed by Trump against the bank over allegations of debanking.

The Trump Organization stated that third-party financial institutions manage these trades and that neither the president nor his family provides input regarding investment decisions or portfolio management. Vice President JD Vance dismissed suggestions of corruption, characterizing the notion that the president personally manages his trading activity as absurd.
