Bollywood Stars and Congress Support CJP Student Protests

The Cockroach Janta Party organizes nationwide protests over exam leaks while Bollywood actors and the Congress party voice support for the students.

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has scheduled nationwide protests for Friday, July 24, to demand accountability for alleged leaks and irregularities in competitive examination papers. The movement is centered at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi and has expanded across multiple states. In response to the unrest, Union Minister Jitendra Singh stated that the Indian government has sent four formal proposals for dialogue to CJP representatives since Wednesday.

The student-led agitation has gained significant political and cultural momentum. Rahul Gandhi convened a meeting of Congress MPs on Thursday evening to coordinate support for the movement, with the Indian National Congress seeking to amplify student grievances to challenge the BJP-led government.

Simultaneously, several Bollywood celebrities in Mumbai expressed support for the students. Actor Varun Dhawan urged authorities to engage with the students to find a transparent resolution, asserting that peaceful protest is a democratic right. Actress Alia Bhatt praised the resolve of the participants, describing the students as the future of the country.
