Israel Conducts Multi-Front Strikes Killing Hamas and Hezbollah Militants

The Israel Defense Forces executed coordinated military operations across Gaza, Lebanon, and the West Bank, killing dozens of militants and assassinating senior Hamas leadership.

The Israel Defense Forces conducted a series of coordinated military operations across three fronts to eliminate security threats and dismantle militant infrastructure. In southern Lebanon, the Israeli Air Force struck approximately 310 Hezbollah sites, resulting in the deaths of about 80 militants. In the West Bank, the military detained over 50 Palestinians accused of inciting terrorism and weapons trafficking, seizing 250,000 shekels and various weaponry. These raids coincided with an increase in settler violence against Palestinians in areas including Yasuf and the Khan al-Ahmar region.

Operations in the Gaza Strip focused on high-value targets and infrastructure. The military demolished terror tunnels in Khan Yunis and destroyed three Hamas weapons storage facilities in central Gaza. Precision strikes eliminated several commanders, including Palestinian Islamic Jihad platoon commanders Qasslam Hassan Saleh and Sami Jamil Abu Dalal, and Hamas deputy company commander Ubay Mamoun Saleh Farwana. Most notably, an airstrike in Gaza City's al-Rimal neighborhood killed Mohammed Awda, the leader of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades and a planner of the October 7 attacks.

These actions persist despite an October 2025 ceasefire. The Gaza Ministry of Health reports between 910 and 981 Palestinians killed since the agreement began. Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that Israel will prevent Hamas from ruling Gaza, while a U.S.-backed Peace Council reportedly prepares to visit the enclave.
