Trump Vows Greater Victory to Stop Iranian Nuclear Weapons
President Donald Trump announced a strategy to permanently prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, with reports suggesting potential strikes on Iranian infrastructure after the midterms.
President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday at a campaign rally in Corpus Christi, Texas, that the United States is pursuing an even greater victory against Iran. The primary objective of this strategy is to permanently prevent Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons. Trump asserted that "Iran has been waging this war against America since 1979" and claimed that past leaders lacked the "courage or intelligence" to resolve the conflict.
While Trump highlighted the increased flow of oil through the Hormuz Strait, reports from the Wall Street Journal suggest the administration may be planning a fast but ferocious strike on Iranian nuclear sites and infrastructure following the U.S. midterms to force negotiations.
To prepare for potential escalation, the U.S. has deployed an additional Patriot system to Israel and relocated troops from vulnerable bases across the Middle East. The administration expects the Cabinet of Israel to assist in any new military clash with Iran.
