Iran Warns US of Regional War Amid Escalating Strikes

The Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters of the Iranian Armed Forces warned the United States that any attack on nuclear or sensitive facilities would be viewed as an expansion of the regional war. This threat follows a July 21 claim by President Donald Trump that the U.S. would soon target the Kuh-e Kolang facility. Iran vowed to launch powerful attacks against all U.S. and allied interests in the region if such strikes occur.

U.S. forces have conducted strikes against Iranian military command centers, naval capabilities, and air defenses for ten consecutive nights. The U.S. Central Command cited Iranian interference with commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz as the justification. In response, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed to have destroyed an Amazon data center in Bahrain and targeted U.S. bases in Jordan, where an F-15 aircraft and radar system were reportedly destroyed. The Pentagon reported that three U.S. soldiers were killed in Jordan over the weekend and nearly 100 have been injured since July 7.

Major General Amir Hatami, Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Army, stated in Isfahan that any military incursion into Iranian soil would face a crushing response. Hatami asserted that Iran maintains control over the Strait of Hormuz and remains in a state of high combat readiness. While Iranian mediators are seeking a new ceasefire, President Trump is considering a massive joint military campaign with Israel to force Tehran's capitulation.
