Vice President Shettima Rallies Northern Creatives for Tinubu Re-election

Vice President Kashim Shettima met with creative industry professionals from Northern Nigeria on Wednesday in Abuja to rally support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's second-term bid in the 2027 general elections. Speaking at the All Progressives Congress campaign office, Shettima argued that federal policies regarding culture preservation, local talent empowerment, and the creative economy justify the region's support for the administration in the interest of national unity.

Senator Abdulaziz Yari, Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, stated that the re-election campaign will focus on the administration's record of achievements. Yari explicitly denied claims that Northern Nigeria has been marginalized under the current government.

In response, the support group Triple-R For Renewed Hope, led by President Alhaji Dauda Kahutu Rarara, pledged its backing for Tinubu and other APC candidates. While offering their support, the group requested increased federal intervention to improve practitioner welfare and infrastructure within the Northern creative sector.
