Iran Suggests India Mediate Conflict With United States
Iranian Consul General Saeid Reza Mosayeb Motlagh proposed that India use its global standing to facilitate a peace agreement between Iran and the United States.
Iranian Consul General in Mumbai Saeid Reza Mosayeb Motlagh stated that India could help create the conditions necessary for Iran and the United States to reach an agreement to end the conflict in West Asia. Motlagh described India as a peace-loving country and suggested that New Delhi's global standing could facilitate dialogue and mediation between Tehran and Washington to bring stability and harmony to the region.
This proposal comes as Iran remains open to negotiations under specific conditions, while the United States continues to demand that Iran be prevented from acquiring nuclear weapons. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has previously advocated for the resolution of global conflicts through dialogue and diplomacy, most recently during a visit to Australia.
