Trump Flies Fallen Soldier's Family on Air Force One

Donald Trump flew the family of 1st Lt. Tyler James Feehan on Air Force One to Marietta, Georgia, on July 22, 2026. This followed a dignified transfer ceremony at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware, honoring four U.S. service members killed in the Middle East.

1st Lt. Feehan, 25, was one of three soldiers killed on July 17 during an Iranian missile and drone attack on a Jordanian air base. The other casualties from that attack were Pvt. Isabella Gonzales and Sgt. Angel Rampersad. A fourth soldier, Sgt. Michael Emmanuel Swinton, died on July 19 at Erbil Air Base in Iraq while neutralizing a downed drone.

During a campaign rally at Wheeler High School in Marietta, Trump praised Feehan as a "flawless" person who was destined to become a general. He asserted that the United States is "winning" the war against Iran and promised that Tehran would not again inflict similar casualties on U.S. forces.
