Armenia Advances TRIPP Project and Strategic U.S. Partnership

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced at the Concordia Summit in New York that the implementation of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project will initiate a new era for the national economy. Speaking on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, Pashinyan linked the initiative to the government's Crossroads of Peace project and emphasized that peace with Azerbaijan would increase Armenia's attractiveness to investors.

The TRIPP project is part of a Framework Agreement on Strategic Partnership signed on June 4 by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan. To advance the project, Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan appointed Mirzoyan as the government representative for parliamentary ratification discussions. This cooperation follows a joint declaration signed in August 2025 in Washington by Pashinyan, U.S. President Donald Trump, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

President Donald Trump reinforced this partnership in a message congratulating Armenia on its 35th anniversary of independence. Trump stated that the United States looks forward to investing in Armenia through the TRIPP initiative and claimed he and Pashinyan had "made history" in just over a year. Beyond infrastructure, Pashinyan detailed strategic cooperation with the U.S. in artificial intelligence, which led to the creation of three AI centers in Armenia following a 2025 memorandum of understanding.
