IRGC Warns of More Destructive Missiles in Future War

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps warned it will deploy more precise and powerful weaponry if a new conflict begins, while denying U.S. claims of peace backchannels.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps warned that Iran will deploy more destructive and precise weaponry if a new war begins. Spokesperson Hossein Mohebbi stated that the country has expanded its military capabilities, specifically regarding missile warhead generations, range, and precision, following conflicts with the United States and Israel in 2025 and 2026.

Mohebbi dismissed claims by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding a backchannel for peace talks between Washington and the IRGC, calling the assertion a "delusion." Simultaneously, Iranian foreign ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei denied reports of secret meetings in Erbil, characterizing such reports as psychological operations intended to sow discord among Iranian decision-making bodies.

These warnings follow a June 18 memorandum of understanding signed between Iran and the U.S. to end regional hostilities. Despite the agreement, Mohebbi highlighted the resilience of Hamas in Gaza and the Ansarullah movement in Yemen against Israeli and Saudi Arabian military actions, while Acting Defense Minister Majid ibn Reza noted that Iranian military production lines are operating with increased activity.
