Nigerian Students Commend Northern Bypass Construction in Kano

The National Association of Nigerian Students commended President Bola Tinubu and Minister of Works David Umahi for the construction of the Northern bypass in Kano State. Following an inspection tour of federal road projects, the student body praised the administration for its infrastructure investment and for compensating farmers whose land was acquired for the project.

NANS President Akinteye Afeez stated that the 69.4-kilometre dual carriageway, which includes three flyovers and seven bridges, will ease traffic congestion and improve access to ten tertiary institutions in the North-West region. Afeez noted that the bypass "stretches through parts of the North-West and connects ten institutions in the region."

While praising the current progress, NANS urged the Federal Government to maintain its pace of construction to ensure the project is completed promptly. Afeez called on the government to "intensify efforts and ensure that this road project is completed in earnest."
