Leke Abejide Pledges 500 Million Naira for Kogi Youth
Leke Abejide pledged 500 million naira for a youth empowerment programme in Kogi State while endorsing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for re-election in 2027.
Representative Leke Abejide, who represents the Yagba Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, pledged 500 million naira to fund a youth empowerment programme during a homecoming ceremony at the Itodo Open Field in Kogi State.
The initiative targets young people across 74 communities, providing resources to establish and expand small-scale businesses to increase job creation and self-reliance. During the event, Abejide formally declared his support for the 2027 re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the second-term bid of Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, citing their focus on welfare and development policies.
Kogi State Government Secretary Folashade Arike Ayoade and ALGON Kogi State Chairman Tosin Olokun attended the ceremony. Both officials commended Abejide for his previous philanthropic interventions benefiting widows and students, while Olokun affirmed his support for both the president and the representative.
