Anurag Thakur Accuses Rahul Gandhi of Undermining Democratic Institutions
BJP MP Anurag Thakur criticized Rahul Gandhi for blaming the BJP for Congress party failures and questioning the integrity of electronic voting machines.
Bharatiya Janata Party MP and former Union Minister Anurag Thakur criticized Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi during a public outreach march in Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh. Speaking as part of the 'Loktantra Bachao, Arajakta Hatao' campaign, Thakur accused Gandhi of blaming the BJP for the Indian National Congress party's organizational failures and electoral defeats instead of conducting internal introspection.
Thakur specifically challenged the Congress party's habit of questioning Electronic Voting Machines and other democratic institutions, arguing that such claims undermine public confidence in the electoral system. He demanded that the Congress clarify its position on electoral mandates in states such as Kerala and Karnataka.
To illustrate the decline of the Congress party, Thakur cited its poor performance in student politics at Panjab University and Delhi University. He concluded the event by urging BJP workers to counter the Congress narrative and promote the BJP's message directly to households.
