Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Bhogapuram International Airport on August 1 following an invitation from Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the Bhogapuram International Airport on August 1. Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, invited the Prime Minister to serve as the chief guest for the event, which is envisioned as a landmark for the economic development of the North Andhra region.
The airport project was originally initiated by the Telugu Desam Party government in 2014 but was recently accelerated and completed within two years by the current coalition government. To prepare for the opening, Chief Minister Naidu held a high-level review meeting with union and state ministers and senior officials. He directed that the airport design and welcome ceremonies showcase the tribal traditions, handicrafts, and artistic heritage of Andhra Pradesh.
State IT and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh conducted a site visit to coordinate logistics, anticipating that over 300,000 people from six districts will attend the Prime Minister's public meeting. Consequently, officials have been directed to implement enhanced traffic management, security, and visitor facilities to accommodate the expected crowds.
