Nvidia Promotes Rubin Platform Amid Credit Bubble Warnings

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang is promoting the new Rubin supercomputing platform as analysts project revenues could exceed $1 trillion by 2029 despite growing credit risks.

Nvidia is leveraging the upcoming Rubin supercomputing platform to maintain its dominance in the AI hardware market. While the company continues to see rapid growth in revenues and profits, investment banks such as Jefferies Group project that its revenues could surpass $1 trillion by 2029.

However, critics have raised concerns regarding a potential credit bubble. These warnings center on the company's $279 billion in advances to suppliers and the activities of its venture arm, NVentures. Through this arm, the company invests in customers including OpenAI, Anthropic, and CoreWeave, a practice critics suggest is designed to fuel further chip purchases.

External headwinds are also emerging as AI token prices fall and energy constraints tighten. Additionally, the company faces increasing public opposition to the environmental impact of its infrastructure. Zack Polanski, leader of the Green Party, has specifically called on the British Government to halt the development of water-intensive data centers.
