Justice Department Indicts 10 Foreign Nationals for Minnesota Voter Fraud
Attorney General Todd Blanche announced indictments against 10 foreign nationals for illegal voting in Minnesota while filing misconduct complaints against state federal judges.
The United States Department of Justice announced indictments on Wednesday against 10 foreign nationals for illegal voting and registration fraud in Minnesota. Attorney General Todd Blanche stated the defendants, who are lawful permanent residents from countries including Brazil, Ghana, Liberia, Lithuania, Germany, Bosnia, Canada, and South Africa, falsely claimed U.S. citizenship to cast ballots in the 2022 and 2024 general elections and the August 2026 primary elections. The defendants face charges of illegal voting by an alien and making false claims of citizenship.
In a related effort to address electoral integrity, Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin reported that his agency is investigating over 1,600 voting fraud cases and conducting reviews of non-citizen voter registration.
Simultaneously, Attorney General Blanche filed judicial misconduct complaints against nearly every federal judge in Minnesota. The Justice Department alleges these judges violated their ethical duties by speaking to the media regarding ongoing cases.
