President Bola Tinubu Arrives in Paris During European Leave

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu arrived in Paris, France, on Sunday, September 13, 2026, for the second phase of a three-week annual leave in Europe. Nigeria's Ambassador to France, Ayodele Oke, received the president upon his arrival in the French capital.

The vacation began on August 30, 2026, when the president departed Abuja for an initial stay in London, United Kingdom. Special Adviser on Information and Strategy Bayo Onanuga announced the itinerary and the duration of the holiday.

This leave follows the All Progressives Congress's release of its Presidential Campaign Council list, which appointed the president as chairman and Vice President Kashim Shettima as vice chairman. President Tinubu is expected to return to Abuja next weekend to begin campaigning for the general election scheduled for January 2027.
