White House Slams CNN Reporter for Tracking Natalie Harp

White House officials criticized CNN reporter Alejandra Jaramillo for posting a photo of aide Natalie Harp, calling the media's focus on Harp an obsession.

White House communications director Steven Cheung criticized CNN reporter Alejandra Jaramillo after she posted a social media photo claiming she spotted Natalie Harp in the Oval Office on Thursday. Cheung responded to the post by highlighting that Jaramillo had publicly criticized President Donald Trump in 2016.

Harp, a top aide to the president, became a target of media scrutiny following a viral stump speech by Senator Jon Ossoff, who suggested an inappropriate relationship existed between Harp and Trump. While Ossoff has since attempted to distance himself from the innuendo, the White House and various critics have characterized the subsequent reporting by CNN and MS NOW as an obsession with Harp's presence at her place of work.
