Donald Trump Invests Up to $50,000 in SpaceX

President Donald Trump invested between $15,001 and $50,000 in SpaceX shares following the company's June initial public offering.

Donald Trump invested between $15,001 and $50,000 in Space Exploration Technologies Corp. on June 23, according to a public financial disclosure released on August 22. The purchase occurred shortly after the company's record-breaking initial public offering on June 12 and was part of more than 1,000 stock trades the president made during that month.

The investment establishes a financial connection between the president and a primary U.S. military contractor. This link comes as the administration actively shapes space policy, including a recent directive from Trump to significantly increase the volume of U.S. commercial space launches.

White House spokesman Davis Ingle stated that third-party financial institutions independently manage the president's portfolio to replicate recognized indexes. Ingle clarified that neither the president nor his family has the ability to direct or influence specific investment decisions.
