Femi Gbajabiamila Cleared of Fake Agency Allegations

Chief of Staff to the President Femi Gbajabiamila announced that he has been cleared of all wrongdoing regarding allegations linking him to a fictitious organization called the Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC). Speaking at the 2026 Gbajabiamila Mega Empowerment Programme in Surulere, Lagos, he stated that the Nigerian Police, the Department of State Services, and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) found no evidence connecting him or his office to the fake agency.

Gbajabiamila had previously appeared before the ICPC in July 2026 as part of a probe into the organization and the appointment of its alleged director-general. He commended President Bola Tinubu for adhering to due process and resisting pressure to reach a premature judgment, asserting that his loyalty to the president and the Renewed Hope agenda remains unshaken.

During the event, Gbajabiamila presided over an empowerment initiative valued at approximately 1.15 billion naira, distributing cash grants, electric vehicles, and equipment to roughly 5,000 beneficiaries to support small businesses. He warned that individuals using his name to defraud others or defame people would face legal consequences.
