Rahul Gandhi Launches Satyagraha Platform to Unify National Protests
Rahul Gandhi launched the Satyagraha digital platform to consolidate and amplify grassroots protests across India, receiving over 10,000 submissions within nine hours.
Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi launched a digital platform called Satyagraha on October 3, 2026, to consolidate and amplify issue-based protests across India. The initiative, timed shortly after the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, uses an interactive map to allow protesters to submit details about their causes and locate similar movements. The platform targets diverse groups, including students, farmers, Dalits, and women, who are fighting for rights often in isolation.
Within nine hours of the launch, the portal received more than 10,000 submissions. Early data shows a significant volume of reports regarding education-related protests, specifically those concerning paper leaks. Other primary areas of focus include corruption, farmers' rights, and women's safety.
Gandhi described the project as a multi-year initiative rather than a short-term campaign, positioning it as a bridge between opposition leadership and grassroots movements. He committed to reviewing every submission to determine how to provide assistance through parliamentary action, public demonstrations, and formal correspondence to help resolve these struggles.
