White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt Resigns

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt resigned Friday to return to MAGA Inc. and spend more time with her children.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced her resignation on Friday, citing the difficulty of balancing the demanding role with motherhood following the birth of her daughter in May. Leavitt stated that she felt she could not be the best mother her two children deserve while devoting the necessary time and energy to the press secretary position.

Leavitt will return to MAGA Inc., the super PAC for President Donald Trump, where she previously served as spokesperson. Her final official duty was attending a campaign rally in Myrtle Beach. President Trump praised Leavitt as one of the best press secretaries in the history of the office and confirmed she will remain one of his top outside advisors.

While a successor has not yet been named, Trump noted he has received a high volume of job applications for the vacancy. He identified conservative commentator Scott Jennings as a potential candidate for the role.
