Rotimi Amaechi Challenges Tinubu to Debate Over Tax Policies
Rotimi Amaechi says the African Democratic Congress will review and selectively inherit President Bola Tinubu's economic policies if elected in 2027.
Presidential running mate Rotimi Amaechi announced that the African Democratic Congress will selectively inherit the economic policies of President Bola Tinubu if Atiku Abubakar wins the 2027 presidential election. Amaechi stated that the administration would retain beneficial policies while discontinuing those deemed detrimental to Nigerians.
Amaechi accused the Tinubu administration of overtaxing citizens and alleged that a law has been passed allowing the Federal Government to seize 25% of bank accounts containing 100 million Naira without the owner's consent. He claimed the government has delayed implementing this law to prevent voters from defecting to the ADC before the elections.
In response to these economic concerns, Amaechi challenged President Tinubu to a public debate to discuss the administration's policies.
