JD Vance Visits Minnesota and New York Before Election
Vice President JD Vance will travel to Minnesota to address government fraud and New York to campaign for Republican congressional candidate Anthony Constantino.
Vice President JD Vance is scheduled for a series of high-profile visits to Minnesota and New York immediately preceding the general election. On Friday, October 30, Vance will travel to St. Cloud, Minnesota, to hold a press conference regarding the administration's "War on Fraud." He will be accompanied by members of the White House Task Force to Eliminate Fraud, a group created by executive order from President Donald Trump.
The Minnesota visit follows a $25 million whistleblower program recently announced by Vance and Trump. It also comes after Vance requested federal investigations into Governor Tim Walz and Attorney General Keith Ellison for their alleged failure to prevent social services fraud in the state. This marks Vance's first visit to Minnesota since January.
Additionally, Vance is expected to visit Ogdensburg, New York, on Monday, October 30, to campaign for Republican congressional candidate Anthony T. Constantino in New York's 21st Congressional District. While the White House has not officially announced the trip, Secret Service agents were spotted scouting the Ogdensburg International Airport earlier in the week. Michael Caller, campaign manager for Democratic opponent Blake Gendebien, characterized the visit as a sign that Constantino is struggling in the race for the seat vacated by Elise Stefanik.
