Legal Defense Fund Launched for Anthony Fauci
Anthony Fauci established a legal defense fund to cover costs associated with ongoing investigations into his conduct during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Anthony S. Fauci M.D. Legal Defense Fund has been launched to cover legal representation and administrative costs for the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. The fund comes as Fauci faces multiple investigations regarding his actions and guidance during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Legal pressures include a subpoena from Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier to determine if Fauci personally profited from pandemic-era guidance. Additionally, Senator Rand Paul has called for a Department of Justice probe. During a July hearing, Fauci invoked his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination 100 times, resulting in a contempt vote on August 6.
While former President Joe Biden issued Fauci a preemptive pardon for potential federal offenses in January 2025, the defense fund is intended to provide comprehensive support for the continuing state and congressional inquiries.
