Netanyahu Claims Iran Possesses Chemical Weapons After Joint Strikes

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asserts Iran possesses chemical weapons and remains untrustworthy despite the degradation of its nuclear infrastructure via Operation Roaring Lion.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated in a Newsmax interview that Iran definitely possesses chemical weapons and continues to pose a threat to global security. He dismissed the viability of a June 17 Memorandum of Understanding signed between Washington and Tehran, describing the Iranian regime as totally untrustworthy.

Netanyahu highlighted the impact of Operation Roaring Lion, a joint U.S.-Israeli military campaign launched in late February. He claimed the operation significantly degraded Iran's nuclear infrastructure and resulted in the deaths of 20 top nuclear scientists. According to Netanyahu, these strikes were essential to protect U.S. security by preventing the Iranian regime from developing ballistic missile capabilities capable of delivering nuclear weapons to the United States.

He asserted that the Iranian government is currently weakened and tottering following the loss of key industries controlled by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Despite these losses and reports from the United States Department of State regarding Iran's non-compliance with the Chemical Weapons Convention, Netanyahu warned against complacency regarding the regime's capabilities.
